Internal Alterations to Flat 1, 18 Nelson Street, Edinburgh

This A listed flat is located in the Edinburgh New Town World Heritage Site. It required significant remedial work after the client purchased the property and, given the amount of work, it was decided to alter the layout at the same time. The new design combines three existing rooms into one flexible open plan space which overlooks Nelson Street. The new kitchen / living /dining space is a contemporary version of the original drawing room where the Georgians lived. Today we prefer more flexible arrangements and we entertain around our kitchens.
The entire flat was upgraded, a new bathroom was created near the bedrooms, a utility room was added to the hallway and a ensuite shower room to the master bedroom.
